No Food, No Fun, No Future



One of the organizations and is under the auspices of United Nation that providing food, the World Food Programme invite the Blogger community who are active in social media to disseminate information and help in the fight against malnutrition, undernourished and food security in Indonesia.

The event, titled No Food = No Fun x No Future was held at WFP office in addition attended by dozens of bloggers from a variety of fields including culinary figures, Bondan Winarno, also attended Staff WFP Regional Bureau in Southeast Asia based in Bangkok, Thailand as well as from IndoPasific Edelman. 



First welcome speech delivered by CEO, Indonesia and Head of Public Affairs, SE Asia, Edelman, Stephen Lock said the event was also associated with 60 years of existence Edelmen Global and now there are many people who do not get adequate nutrition needs. Edelman considers that in Indonesia there are still many areas that are classified as least developed regions. 

Meanwhile, Deputy Country Director, World Food Programme Indonesia, Peter Guest, with his presentation on No Food = No Fun X No Future says that there are about 87 million people lack access to nutrition and food security. Especially in the eastern part of Indonesia like Nusa Tenggara Timur, Papua, Maluku, Central Kalimantan, etc. Peter says that WFP is working with local residents to produce food locally to reduce dependence on rice. Nowadays, on the world rice consumption has increased very significantly so that the necessary diversification of food as one of their food security programme. One of the results that have been seen are noddle from sweet potato in Papua. 

World Food Programme (WFP) and Edelman expecting this event to be a good collaboration with the blogger community to both help combat malnutrition, more sensitive and can help with food security and nutrition through the posts that have bloggers do.

Besides holding the blogger community, WFP also launched the game in the form of donations which the question was answered correctly equal to donate 10 grains of rice have more and more questions answered correctly the more rice grains donated, the game can be played Freerice.com.
