Mie Ongklok.. Culinary From Wonosobo

Traveling will feel less if you do not try and feel something unique in your destination. One of them is culinary. All the matters related your abdomen is worthed to try. Traveling is not only focused to what you've seen, but also more complete about what you've feel too. Particularly original culinary should be your destinations.

When I visit Dieng, there is a genuine culinary from Wonosobo. Mie Ongklok.


Mi (or noodles) Ongklok is boiled noodles from Wonosobo and surrounding areas. This boiled noodle glance similar to Java in general. Mi Ongklok made with a special blend using cabbage, chopped chives, and a thick starchy sauce called loh. Usually, while you're eating Mie Ongklok there is partner, like satay beef and tempe kemul.

The origin why it called Mie Ongklok because Ongklok is an invaluable tool for boiling noodles with small sort of woven bamboo basket for boiling noodles. The local people always used it. 

Price for one portion of Mie ongklok is cheap. Only by paying Rp.5,000 then you can enjoy a delicious bowl of Mie Ongklok and quite filling your stomach. Yummy.
