Sileri Crater ... Widest in Dieng Plateau

Have you ever heard the word Dieng ? If you have not, what comes first in your mind when hear the word Dieng ?. This time I had the opportunity to visit Dieng plateau. This areas included in Banjarnegara district is also one of the alternative vacation spots that resemble the natural conditions. Cool and cold but have enough differences that stand out, a crater in the various point and used as a geothermal power plant. Other that, in Dieng plateau we could see temples, lake and see the sun rise behind Merapi. 

The crater at the Dieng plateau is an object that is the main attraction for travellers. One of the crater named Sileri. 

Sileri crater, which is located in Banjarnegara district, Central Java. The crater is the most dangerous, and is the largest in Dieng, which is about two hectares. Sileri naming himself supposedly taken from water white gray crater similar to Leri water (water from washing rice), so eventually crater named Sileri crater. The water flow from the crater Sileri can be used as a source of water belonging to the plantations located around the crater.

If you arrive in Sileri crater, then you should walk down the street footpath from the car park to the crater rim has been built. The stairs that have been cemented and it making easier for visitors to come down and approached the Sileri crater. The view presented by the crater is not less beautiful with a view of the other attractions in Dieng. Cover the crater of approximately two hectares is always covered by a cloud of white smoke with a distinctive sulfur smell seemed never to stop blanketing the surface of the crater.

The crater is not famous like other craters in Dieng. The presence of Sileri crater, like simalaka fruit, death but would not hesitate to live. There is however such neglect. Public facilities in the crater Sileri very alarming even completely untreated. Not surprisingly, travelers rarely even no one visited the crater Sileri.

However, if you look at this with a different perspective and positive, neglected conditions make it a tourist attraction in Sileri crater like a movie "Bonanza", gorgeous yet wildly impressed.
